On Thursday, December 12th, 2019, artwork from Louisiana Tech University students were on display at Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, Louisiana. Louisiana Tech University students: Jamie Baker, Almira Bradford, Emily Edwards, Chelsea Ellis, Michaela Franklin, Jordyn Houldridge, Meredith Spencer, Lisa Thomson, Ashley Williams, and Ben Wreyford all had Pre-Medical Illustrations or Scientific Visualization art due to working with the VISTA Center. Alumni, Kaitlin Maloy also had a piece on display dedicated to Endometriosis. Kaitlin received her BS in Biology along with a minor in Pre-Medical Illustration through the VISTA Center.
The Director of VISTA, Nick Bustamante, said: “It was an honor for our students to be selected, VISTA student work in the field of scientific visualization, recognized for its high artistic value and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts, demonstrates the strength of the interdisciplinary engagement at Louisiana Tech University.” |
