The Lincoln Health Foundation is a nonprofit that strives to improve health outcomes for the residents of Lincoln Parish. In 2019 the VISTA center was awarded a Nutritional Education Grant from the Lincoln Health Foundation. The awarded grant supported the collaboration of students from art, nutrition, and biology to create informational materials that encourage healthy living.  ​VISTA students created a map of Lincoln Parish parks and an illustrated recipe and nutrition book. The materials were initially designed for The Health Hut, a free clinic in Ruston that provides health care to those who need it, both at a fixed location in downtown Ruston and through a mobile health unit. The final projects were meant to be printed and available for patients at the Health Hut and members of the broader Lincoln Parish community. In this time of COVID-19, we have decided that there may be greater benefit in sharing these resources in a digital format to make them more accessible with printed copies to be available at a later date.  We hope you enjoy the results of this collaboration!
